Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

Colossians 3:23

We are looking for a few amazing elementary or middle school teachers, part-time and full-time. We are unapologetically Christian, teaching from a classical pedagogy and looking for born-again Christian teachers. Ideally, these individuals should be people who want to help grow a thriving educational platform where children are developed into men and women of character, courageous and deep thinkers, and heroes for the next generation.  We are not a homeschool co-op, nor are we a traditional Christian school.  We are a unique and exciting hybrid of the two. We are certain that once you try out SEALS, you will feel spoiled and fall in love with teaching all over again.

If you are reading this then obviously you know what is required of you, as a teacher, but here is a quick summary.

Ideal Candidate will:

  • Fully embrace our mission, vision, and core convictions.

  • Be seeking to truly be a part of a team working together to educate the next generation of godly men and women; this means being coachable, being a learner, being flexible, always seeking to improve, and being comfortable giving, receiving, and implementing constructive feedback in a caring environment.

  • Be interested in our key classical curricular and instructional programs.

  • Be open to having a community, family feel within the educational setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a classroom environment in which every child can succeed and which establishes high academic and behavior standards.

  • Be an awesome teacher by demonstrating growth in the children under your care.

  • Teach all approved curricula with fidelity.

  • Implement and support the school-wide approach to classroom management and discipline.

  • Prepare and maintain appropriate records and progress reports.

  • Help to promote and maintain a professional environment.

  • Exhibit positive rapport and build strong relationships with students.

  • Establish and maintain strong communication lines with all parents/guardians.

  • Hours are Tuesday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with Mondays being either a Mental Health Monday (you have off) or an Enhancement Monday (a work day for enhancement type classes such as field trips, special events and guest speakers).

Required Qualifications:

  • Born-again Christian for at least one year.

  • College graduate (an education major not required).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching classical education, although we can teach you the nuances of teaching in a classical school.

  • A teaching certificate is NOT required. Our accreditation will be through a private company, not the state of Florida.

  • Additional opportunities for coaching sports, arts, and leading club activities will be available

A BONUS for Teacher Parents:

Parents who have a college B.A. and children in grades K-6 will receive free tuition for all children registered at SEALS as long as one parent is employed by SEALS. Testing of your children is still required to make sure they can succeed in SEALS’ rigorous curriculum.  Please note that we do not have a special needs program yet, as we are a brand new academy.
